Dessert without baking! Simple preparation!
Pecans are among the healthiest nuts in the world. Combined with corn gofio, you can create a unique healthy dessert that only takes 10 minutes.
Ingredients:
- 300 ml of water
- 350 g of Corn Gofio Viva la Gaia
- 3 tablespoons Sugar Dark Muscovado Viva la Gaia
- 50 g pecans
Pecans are among the healthiest nuts in the world. Combined with corn gofio, you can create a unique healthy dessert that only takes 10 minutes.
Preparation
Pour 350 g of corn gofio into a large bowl, add 3 tablespoons of muscovado sugar and mix. Make a well in the middle and add 300 ml of water. Use a spoon or your hands for kneading everything into a smooth mixture. Shape the mixture into an elongated loaf. Garnish with whole pecans and serve sliced.
Interesting fact: the dessert can also be prepared in advance and kept in the refrigerator wrapped in film before serving. Before wrapping, sprinkle some gofio on the foil to avoid sticking to the foil. Garnish with pecans before serving.
Corn gofio enriches the dish with a sharper taste of nuts and the smell of popcorn. You can also treat yourself to other types of gofio, such as oat or wheat gofio and enjoy different flavours: oat gofio has a smell and taste similar to oatmeal, while wheat is more neutral and can also be combined with varying types of sugar, such as muscovado sugar or with other unrefined sugars such as coconut, cane and palm sugar.
